A Fond Farewell to Christian…

After three incredible years with Uptown Chemist, today we are saying a heartfelt farewell to our pharmacist, Christian, as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career.

Christian has been an important part of the Uptown Chemist family and of the growth of our pharmacy. Over the past three years, he has cared for our patients with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to doing what is best for each person who walks through our doors. We are incredibly grateful for the time, knowledge, dedication, and friendship he has shared with our team and our community.

While we are certainly going to miss having him behind the pharmacy counter, we’re excited to see him take this next step as he joins Cardinal Health as a Nuclear Pharmacist. It is an exciting opportunity and a new area of pharmacy practice that we know he will approach with the same dedication he has brought to Uptown Chemist. We are very proud!

Christian, thank you for three years of exceptional service to our pharmacy, our team, and—most importantly—our patients. You will always be part of the Uptown Chemist story, and we are grateful to have been part of yours.

We know we’ve been a little quiet around here… but for good reason! 👨‍🔬🧪

Behind the scenes, our team has been working incredibly hard over the last year on the next chapter of Uptown Chemist—creating more opportunities to keep the quality, preparation, and care of your compounded medications right here in-house, exclusively for our patients.

And we’re finally ready to share what we’ve been working on.

Our new sterile compounding laboratory has successfully completed its Florida Board of Pharmacy inspection for USP sterile compounding; but passing inspection was only the first of many steps in this process.

Over the weeks that followed, our team continued the work—completing the required processes, validation, and rigorous formulation testing necessary before we would put an Uptown Chemist label on a vial intended for one of our patients.

Today, we’re incredibly proud to say that our first compounded weight-loss injection formulation has completed testing and is ready for patient-specific prescriptions. Many more sterile non hazardous compounds are in formulation and testing!

For us, bringing sterile compounding in-house isn’t simply about expanding what we offer. It’s about having greater control over the process, maintaining the quality standards we expect, and continuing to provide the personalized care you’ve come to expect from your hometown pharmacy.

In grand celebration of our country’s big birthday, we will be closed and no deliveries scheduled on Friday, July 3, 2026 to allow our team to celebrate. The pharmacy will reopen Monday, July 6, 2026 for normal business hours.
