Originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts, Jeffrey brings a diverse professional background and a genuine passion for serving families during life’s most important moments. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a focus in Legal Studies and Political Science before beginning a successful career in business development and marketing across multiple industries.

In 2019, Jeffrey relocated to Southwest Florida to join the family business and pursue his calling in Funeral Service. While serving families as a Family Services Counselor, he attended Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, earned his licenses, and graduated to become a full-time Funeral Director.

Jeffrey’s professionalism, compassion, and commitment to personalized care continue to make a meaningful impact on the families we serve every day.

We recently had the opportunity to help identify a mysterious urn that appeared at a local marina on Fort Myers Beach. Many people are unaware that federal guidelines require scattering at sea to take place at least 3 nautical miles offshore and in waters no less than 600 feet deep, and urns themselves cannot be placed in the ocean unless they are fully biodegradable.

At Legacy Options Funeral and Cremation Services, we offer unattended scattering at sea, where our licensed funeral directors personally go off shore and perform the dignified scattering within the federal guidelines.

We were pleased to welcome the Lee County VITAS Hospice team to Legacy Options Fort Myers for breakfast and a tour of our facility. It was a great morning spent connecting, sharing ideas, and learning more about one another’s services.

Our owner, Jeffrey Nieves, gave an informative presentation about Legacy Options and the care we provide to the families we serve. We also enjoyed a great time of questions and answers, which led to thoughtful conversation and valuable discussion.

Thank you to the Lee County VITAS team for taking the time to visit with us. We truly enjoyed having you at Legacy Options Fort Myers and look forward to continuing to build a strong relationship together.
