You don’t need perfect posture. But you probably shouldn’t spend eight hours in the exact same position, either. 😂
Here’s something I remind my patients all the time: taking care of your spine isn’t just about what happens during your chiropractic appointment.
It’s also about what you’re doing during the other 23 hours and 45 minutes of your day.
And sometimes, the smallest changes can make a meaningful difference.
📱 Your phone: Try bringing it closer to eye level instead of constantly looking down at it.
💻 Your computer: Position your monitor comfortably, avoid reaching forward with your head, and take regular breaks.
🚶 Your movement: Don’t stay glued to your chair all day. Stand up, walk around, stretch, and change positions regularly. Your next posture is often your best posture.
💪 Your spinal health: Incorporate appropriate strengthening and mobility exercises into your routine. And if you’re receiving chiropractic care, remember that the adjustment is just one piece of the puzzle.
One of my favorite things to tell patients is that chiropractic is done WITH you, not FOR you.
My job is to evaluate your spine, identify problems that may benefit from chiropractic care, and help you develop a plan.
Your job is to participate in that process.
The adjustment is important. But the habits you build outside my office matter, too.
Healthy spine, healthy life.
Chiropractic Done Right.
