A huge thank you to Dr. Sami for delivering such a fun, engaging, and educational dental hygiene presentation to the Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students at Keyport Central School! 🦷✨

The students learned the importance of healthy dental habits and how to keep their smiles bright and strong. With Halloween just around the corner and plenty of sweet treats ahead, let’s remember to brush twice a day to help keep cavities away! 🎃🍬🪥

for week three we are highlighting Lucy Hicks Anderson a black transwoman from Waddy Kentucky. Throughout her life she was a successful businesswoman who fought to be seen and treated as a woman. She was convicted for perjury and fraud following her second marriage after she was outed by a physician for being married to a man. Sadly she was remanded to a men's prison. She was subsequently released and was able to live a quiet life until her death

As we continue celebrating Dental Hygiene Awareness Month, we hosted free dental screenings in collaboration with Interfaith-RISE to help community members prioritize their oral health!

We’re happy to share that, in addition to receiving screenings, community members scheduled 12 follow-up appointments to continue their dental care.

We’re proud to support accessible preventive care and help our community maintain healthy smiles!🦷🪥💙
