After such a wonderful first Overflow gathering last month, we’re so excited to come together again in September! We loved seeing parents connect, share, laugh, reflect, and simply have space to feel supported in the middle of everyday parenting.

September Overflow: Parenting Through Burnout

Parenting asks a lot of us—and sometimes, we don’t realize just how depleted we’ve become until we’re already running on empty.

This month, we’re taking a closer look at parent burnout: how to recognize it, understand what may be contributing to it, and make practical changes that support both you and your family.

Together, we’ll explore:

• Common signs of parent burnout and overwhelm
• How your child’s stage of development can impact the demands of parenting
• Practical ways to manage stress and reduce burnout
• Setting healthy, realistic boundaries that protect your capacity
• Maintaining connection with your child—even when you’re running low

🌿 Meet our newest intern, Minorka Miranda!

Minorka is pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and brings experience in behavioral health, athletics, coaching, and supporting neurodivergent children and families. As a bilingual counselor, she is able to provide services in both English and Spanish.

We’re excited to welcome Analiese Axelson to the Olive Tree Family Counseling team as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern!

Analiese brings a compassionate, trauma-informed, and integrative approach to counseling, with a special interest in trauma, PTSD, attachment, chronic pain, self-esteem, identity development, grief and loss, nervous system regulation, and working with children and adolescents.

With advanced training in Somatic Experiencing®, Analiese values the connection between the mind, body, and spirit and strives to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered as they work toward healing and growth. 🌱

Crissy is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently pursuing her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find hope and healing through compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence-based care.

Her clinical interests include trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, attachment, and couples and family therapy. Crissy believes in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected as they work toward meaningful change.
