Taking care of your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s often the small, consistent habits that make the biggest difference. Check in with yourself, listen to what you need, and give yourself permission to prioritize your well-being.

And if something feels off, don’t hesitate to reach out. Support is always there when you need it.

Yesterday, MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital participated in the Kent/Sussex MAPs (Marketing & Admissions Professionals) Meeting, bringing together partners across the senior care continuum.

Julie from our Business Development Team proudly serves as a co-chair of this group alongside Luanne from Delaware Hospice.

It was especially meaningful to have our entire Business development team, Julie, Sarah, and Judy, all together representing MeadowWood and all three counties at the same meeting.

We’re also grateful to MC Rogers and the Cadia Renaissance team for hosting, and to Dr. Katie Johnson, DO, from Beebe Healthcare for sharing her expertise as our guest speaker.

While representing MeadowWood at the 2nd Annual Trauma Prevention Fair hosted by ChristianaCare yesterday, Julie made a new friend, Wombat!

Wombat is a facility dog with the New Castle County Division of Police. As a community goodwill ambassador, he provides comfort and emotional support to crime victims, witnesses, and anyone who may be feeling nervous or overwhelmed during police-related situations.

It's safe to say he was one of the most popular attendees at the event.

One like = one belly rub for the bestest dog around!

PTSD is real, and healing is possible. This awareness month, we stand with those who carry invisible wounds, honoring their strength, amplifying their stories, and reminding them they are not alone. Support, understanding, and hope can make all the difference.

Judy, one of our Business Development Representatives, got to spend the afternoon hanging out with horses, and honestly, we’re all a little jealous.

Compassionate Hearts’ “Happy Hour with the Herd” brought community members together for mocktails, great conversation, and plenty of time with some amazing horses. Sounds like a pretty perfect afternoon to us!

Thank you to Compassionate Hearts for hosting such a unique and welcoming event.

The Master Givers Group, which includes our Nurse Liaison Julie and members from the senior-serving continuum of care throughout the region, held its regular meeting on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they collected arts and crafts donations for Easterseals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. A great example of local organizations supporting one another and spreading a little extra creativity and joy through the community!
