Calling all tweens!

Join Mimi Underwood and Jamie Snider, Perry County Chapter - Ohio Genealogical Society volunteers, on September 17th from 5-6 pm in the Genealogy Room of our New Lexington location to learn how to research your ancestry using genealogy tools including materials available in the PCDL - New Lexington genealogy room. This workshop is open to tweens ages 9-12 years old only!

On Saturday, one of our members visited the beautiful OGS library in Bellville, Ohio to see the DAR traveling exhibit hosted by the Jared Mansfield chapter of the DAR. It’s only there for a few more days, so if you are looking for something to do this week, be sure to visit before it leaves Ohio. 🍀🥇Kinnley Stenson, a member of Perry County OGS, received the Clock Trophy for her Family History Treasure Hunt project for years 3-6 (genealogy). This is the top earner in the category and involves a written vocabulary quiz, interview and review of her research. Congratulations! Well-deserved!

Congratulations to Kinnley Stenson for completing her 4-H project, “Family History Treasure Hunt.” Kinnley is a member of the Perry County Chapter OGS. She is also a Perry County Pioneer. Kinnley received Best of Show at the Perry County Fair and was selected to represent Perry County at the Ohio State fair with her project.
