Louisianans with Disabilities have a right to accessible voting. Elections are coming soon. Make Your Plan to vote.

Louisiana’s upcoming election is Tuesday, November 3rd. Early voting starts on October 20th and runs through October 27th. Polls are closed on Sunday, October 25th.

Elections and polling places must be accessible to people with all types of disabilities. Making a plan to vote ahead of time will help avoid problems on Election Day.

GeauxVote has a pamphlet that talks about the ways that people with disabilities can get the assistance they need for voting: https://www.sos.la.gov/elections-voting/disabled-elderly-citizens.

Every year we ask the community for feedback to help us decide what issues our community needs our help with the most. In the past, this has led us to focus our work on helping people with disabilities with issues related to education, independence and decision-making power, their rights in institutions, employment, protection from financial abuse, voting, and the rights of older adults.

You can take our survey linked below to see our Priorities and Goals proposed for fiscal year 2026-27. If you believe there are more effective ways that we could advocate for individuals with disabilities in Louisiana within these priorities, please let us know in the spaces provided for your comment:

If you have any issues accessing the survey or other questions, please contact us at 800-960-7705 or send an email to [email protected].
