A few more weeks of school left. Let's try to make it easier for our kids.

I’m resharing this as we have entered the final term of the school year (here in the UK), the children are getting tired and we are heading into the school testing and exam period.

After school restraint collapse is real!

I would spend 6 hours in school
trying to conform. Concentrating so much more than my peers just to write a simple question, answer easy maths questions and fighting to make myself understood.

As soon as I walked through the door I would be loud and boisterous (not the timid Mikey that everyone at school knew).

My mum’s solution?

Open the back door come rain or shine and let me jump on my trampoline for at least 20 minutes. She would wait patiently until I had self regulated, was more chilled and was ready to tell her about my day.

I am not saying that this would work for everyone but it worked for me. We found what worked and went with it. 💙
