UCHC is a community-based, family- friendly health center that has been proudly serving the Bronx, NY for 100 years. UCHC offers primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, adult healthcare, and senior healthcare and many specialty services all in a patient-centered healthcare facility offering same day appointments, and RAPID after- hours and weekend care. UCHC provides access to experienced, knowledgeable medical professionals, to help meet the healthcare needs of you and your family. October is National Audiology Awareness Month, a reminder that protecting your hearing is an important part of your overall health.

Hearing loss can affect people of all ages and may develop gradually. Recognizing the warning signs and taking steps to protect your ears can help you maintain your hearing health.

YOUR HEARING DESERVES PROTECTION.

• Turn down the volume. Keep your headphones at a safe level and take listening breaks.

• Protect your ears. Use appropriate hearing protection around loud sounds.

• Don’t ignore the signs. If you notice changes in your hearing or persistent ringing in your ears, talk to a healthcare professional.

This month, take a moment to prioritize your hearing health and encourage your family to do the same.

Serving our country is a commitment that deserves recognition, care, and
support long after the uniform comes off.

This Veterans Day, Union Community Health Center is honoring that commitment by creating a space where veterans can feel supported, connect with their community, and learn about resources that can make a difference in their lives.

As part of this commitment, UCHC is excited to announce the Walk-In, anytime, Veterans Mental Health initiative made possible via a $35,000 grant initiative to help strengthen mental health support for those who have served.

If you’re a veteran, we hope you’ll join us. If you know a veteran, share this invitation with them. Let’s make sure those who have served our country know that their community is here for them.

At an outside pharmacy, your pharmacist and your provider are further removed from each other.
At the UCHC Rx Pharmacy, they’re on the same team.

Your pharmacist can see your care plan, talk directly to your provider, and work through any questions about your medications before you ever have to. If your provider changes a prescription, your pharmacist already knows why.

This is National Pharmacy Week. The best days for a pharmacist are the ones where they hand you your prescription at the counter, everything sorted, nothing standing between you and getting it.

Ask your provider to send your next prescription to the UCHC Rx Pharmacy.
