Montefiore Einstein Bioethics in Bioethics, Internships, and Clinical Ethics Fellowship.

The Montefiore Einstein Center for Bioethics is home to Montefiore's Clinical Ethics Consultation Service, Institutional Bioethics Committee, Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities, M.S. Welcome to Einstein Cardozo Bioethics - fostering ethical practices in patient care, research and health policy. This collaboration between Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Cardozo Law builds upon

the long history and rich clinical experience of the Montefiore Einstein bioethics consultation service. Our unique program integrates scholarship in medicine, law and the humanities, and includes a strong narrative focus to expand students' understanding of complex bioethical issues. With courses such as Consultation Skills, Reproductive Ethics, Empathy, and Policy Writing, our program provides personal enrichment while equipping you with the skills you need to navigate the nuances of policy and regulation in a changing healthcare environment. We accept applications from a diverse array of professionals, including physicians, lawyers, nurses, clergy and recent college graduates, who seek a deeper understanding of how bioethics can help them make a difference in patients' lives.

We are excited to contribute to this international forum and engage with colleagues from around the world who are advancing ethics consultation, education, research, and patient care. Our MECB faculty, alumni, graduate students, and friends gathered together today for our quarterly Alumni Ethics Connect series. We are so grateful to the Empire State Bioethics Consortium for granting permission for us to host an invited screening of the documentary, Ethics on Call: The Nancy Dubler Story, for our alumni and graduate students. As a founder of Montefiore’s Bioethics Consultation Service and our Advanced Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities, Nancy Dubler’s many contributions to the field of bioethics and her legacy as a scholar, educator, mentor, and patient/family advocate are well known and now her story can be shared with younger generations of clinicians and bioethicists! Special thanks to our MS alums, Liz Blackler and Margot Hedlin, for their contributions to the documentary and for joining us today to introduce the film and share their behind the scenes experiences working with Nancy and her many colleagues, friends, and family who are featured in interviews.
