Rockford Center is proud to be attending the First Responders Mental Health and Wellness Conference this week in support of the dedicated men and women who serve on the front lines every day. First responders face unique challenges and stressors in the course of their work, making mental health and wellness a critical part of maintaining healthy, resilient communities. On Saturday, The Rockford Center joined state leaders, advocates and community partners at Face the Facts' Annual Overdose Awareness Day, standing together in support of addiction and behavioral health awareness. We were honored to remember those we have lost, support those who are still fighting and celebrate those who have found hope, healing, community and recovery.

Events like these remind us that every life matters, every story deserves to be heard and every step toward recovery is worth recognizing. Thank you to everyone who helps create a stronger, more compassionate community where hope and recovery can thrive.

Today, Rockford Center lowered its flags in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the thousands of individuals who left for work that morning and never returned home, leaving behind families, friends and communities forever changed.

We also pay tribute to the courageous first responders and everyday heroes who ran toward danger instead of away from it. Their extraordinary acts of bravery, selflessness and service in the face of unimaginable circumstances saved countless lives. Many made the ultimate sacrifice while helping others, exemplifying the very best of humanity.

As we pause to reflect, we remember those who were lost, honor the heroes who answered the call and keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts. Their legacy of courage, resilience and unity continues to inspire us and will never be forgotten.

This two-day event brings together leaders, providers, and community partners from across Delaware to strengthen collaboration and advance behavioral health services throughout our communities. We’re excited to hear from dynamic keynote speaker, Dr. Karen Scott, along with participating in engaging breakout sessions and thought-provoking panel discussions focused on the needs and opportunities within Delaware.
