Out of the office the next couple of weeks to rest and bond with our sweet boy, Solomon!! If you’ve reached out for 2027 due dates, I’ll be back in touch ASAP! Just trying to take the time that i encourage all my clients to take for their own postpartum recovery🥰💛

A sweet newborn exam photo for your Tuesday viewing! I am officially booking spring 2027 due dates and finalizing my off-call time for next year! Yes, midwives have to plan their vacations a year in advanced! 😝🫠🫶🏼

Did you know: In a healthy, low risk labor, intermittent fetal heart tone (FHT) checks with a Doppler are often exactly what the evidence supports.

Instead of being connected to continuous monitors, your baby's heartbeat is checked at regular intervals before, during, and after contractions to make sure they're tolerating labor well.

This approach allows you to:
✨ Move freely
✨ Change positions
✨ Labor in the water
✨ Eat and drink (when appropriate)
✨ Rest when you need to
✨ Follow your body's natural instincts

Your midwife isn't only listening to your baby's heartbeat, they're watching the whole picture. They're assessing your labor, your baby's response, and how both of you are doing every step of the way.🤎

🤣 ok my face is this serious because the scale was teetering between the exact weight i guessed and an ounce smaller, and when the bet is made with your little brother, you know you gotta lock in! This time, i got it right on the money, Cooper 🤗😜 Nessa

June has given Braided Birth 4 beautiful girls so far! Waiting on 2 more babes to make their appearance! One boy and one surprise!! Thank you Jesus for new life💙 I’m biased but June birthdays are the best 😉

Pic of what we are doing if I’m not at a birth!🥰

Someone was caught red handed with moms computer the other day while i did some admin work and inventory! It’s been a wild May/June around here so far with another few weeks of babies coming 🥰 i have some time off at the end of summer with a slower fall/ winter to recoup🤍 i am officially booked through 2026 and am accepting 2027 due dates! I have up to 2 more spots in January available! Praying everyone is having an incredible week with this gorgeous weather☀️

Yesterday was a fun one!🥰 had babies at sunrise AND sunset! That’s right, 2 births in one day. Each unique and beautiful just like their baby’s footprints😊🩷💙

Fun fact, i document all the births I’ve attended in my own practice in this leather bound journal by each baby’s footprints! It’s such a special keepsake for me, i wish i had started doing this 7 years ago with doula births!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
