Pull up a chair, because tonight we are pouring something heavy to mark a massive birthday milestone.
šŸ¾ The Pour: Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. If you’re going to look back on a decade, you might as well do it with a gorgeous, rich Napa Cabernet that gets better with time.
šŸ—£ļø The Whine: Hitting the end of my 30s. Honestly, my thirties were the absolute best decade yet. I traveled, raised my kids, started a business, and finally found my confidence. While turning 40 is a major milestone to digest, aging is a true blessing. My plan? Make my 40s even better.

When you have one thing to do at 2:00 PM so your brain decides you aren’t allowed to move, think, or breathe until it’s time to leave. šŸ’€
Anyone else get completely paralyzed by ā€œWaiting Modeā€ or is it just me? You could have 5 hours of free time but the brain says: ā€œNope, too risky. Sit on the couch and stare at the wall.ā€

Welcome to The Wine & Whine Club | Ep. 2 šŸ·

Pull up a chair, because tonight’s bedtime routine nearly broke me. šŸ˜‚

šŸ¾ The Pour: Barton & Guestier Tourmaline RosĆ©. It’s a stunning, crisp CĆ“tes de Provence—and honestly, the woman lounging in the sun on this bottle is exactly who I wish I was right now.

The Whine: The absolute audacity of the summer sun. It is past 8 PM, it’s blindingly bright outside, and my kids are looking at me like I’m a criminal for suggesting it’s bedtime. My patience expires at 7 PM. This daylight savings trick isn’t working anymore, so I am officially hiding in my basement bar with blackout curtains and a glass of wine.

CLUB RULES: If you are currently wrestling a child to sleep while it’s still light outside, drop your summer bedtime complaints below. Let’s vent!

mom life humor, relatable parenting, funny mom videos, summer bedtime routine, bedtime battles, mom venting, wine review, crisp rosƩ wine, honest motherhood.

Are you tired of feeling caught between ā€œBecause I said soā€ and ā€œGentle Parentingā€ burnout? šŸ„±šŸ‘‡
A lot of us grew up in strict households where kids were meant to be seen, not heard. So when we became parents, we swung the pendulum entirely to the other side—focusing so much on connection and validation that we sometimes forgot where the boundaries went.
If you’ve found yourself feeling exhausted by modern conscious parenting, you aren’t alone. We aren’t meant to choose between being a dictator or a doormat.
In our latest episode, (Dr. Kim Van Dusen) breaks down how to find the perfect ā€œmiddle groundā€ so you can raise confident kids without losing your sanity. āš–ļøāœØ
