A taste of Lebanon, an afternoon of art, and plenty of good company. ✨

Pennswood residents recently spent the day in Philadelphia, beginning with lunch at Suraya in Fishtown, where they enjoyed authentic Lebanese cuisine, before visiting Calder Gardens to experience its unique blend of art, nature, and peaceful reflection.

From trying new flavors to exploring new spaces, it’s always rewarding to spend a day discovering something different together. 🌿🎨

At Pennswood Village, learning and conversation continue long after the credits roll. 🎬📚

Recently, our Peace and Social Justice Committee hosted a showing of the documentary “The Librarians,” which explores how librarians across the United States responded to challenges surrounding library content and access.

In connection with the film, residents also participated in a thoughtful banned books display featuring both adult and children’s titles, along with personal reviews and reflections shared by Pennswood residents themselves.

Programs like these create opportunities for residents to engage with different perspectives, share meaningful conversations, and continue exploring topics that shape communities and culture. ❤️
