On Thursday, we welcomed trick-or-treaters to our corporate office for some Halloween fun! One of our favorite office traditions is our annual department decorating contest, where teams bring their creativity (and a little friendly competition) to life.

When Right At Home Anne Arundel County client and veteran Mr. Thomas spent a night in the hospital, Community Relations Coordinator Kimi-Roux James stopped by to check on him and deliver a care package. Mr. Thomas shared that the visit "perked him up," and even noted that the teddy bear included in the package reminded him of his daughter's collection.

During their conversation, Kimi-Roux learned that Mr. Thomas was just days away from celebrating his 100th birthday. The team quickly came together to make sure the occasion didn't go unnoticed. Alongside a family celebration complete with dinner and cake, Right at Home presented him with a 100-Year Milestone Certificate to recognize this remarkable achievement.

What started as a simple hospital visit became an opportunity to celebrate a century of memories and remind someone that they are valued. Kimi-Roux's thoughtfulness is a great example of how meaningful it can be to simply show up, listen, and help people feel connected to those around them.

🍂✨ It’s Back! Our Adopt-A-Senior: Thanksgiving Meal Drive is returning for 2026! 🦃💛

We are thrilled to announce that our Adopt-A-Senior program is returning this holiday season — and we’re once again teaming up with our amazing partners at Hy-Vee and Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust to make it happen!

Year 1 in 2024 we delivered 64 meals across Northeast Nebraska.
Year 2 in 2025 we jumped to an incredible total of 106 MEALS SERVED!

We are so excited to see what amazing impact this year holds. Holidays can be hard for many especially when they do not have family to share it with. Every meal is a reminder to a senior in the area that they are loved, valued, and remembered during the holidays. 💗

1) Nominate a Senior in Need (within 15 mi radius of Norfolk):

One of the most meaningful Residence Week traditions is graduation, where classmates recognize one another and share heartfelt reflections on how their peers shaped their experience. It's always inspiring to see individuals from different backgrounds, roles, and experiences come together to support and learn from one another.

💜🚶‍♀️ Three walks. One mission. A world of hope. 💜✨

This week, we attended our final Walk to End Alzheimer’s of the season in Kearney, bringing our journey of three walks to a close. As we reflect on these meaningful experiences, we’re reminded that every step represents something bigger than ourselves: the loved ones we hold close, the families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s, and the hope for a brighter future without this disease. 🫶🌎

💜 Each walk gave us an opportunity to come together, honor those affected, remember those we’ve lost, and stand alongside a community united by a shared purpose. 🎗️ While the walks may be over for now, the mission continues long after the last steps are taken. 👣

We carry with us the stories, the memories, the connections, and the reminder that even small steps can make a meaningful difference. 🥹💜 Together, through awareness, support, research, and compassion, we can keep moving toward a world where no family has to face Alzheimer’s alone. 🤝🧠

Here’s to the strength of our community, the power of coming together, and the hope that one day, we’ll walk with a white flower amidst the others. 🌟 Until then, we’ll keep walking, keep remembering, and keep fighting for a better tomorrow. 💪💜

Earlier this month, Air Force veteran Ron and Army veteran Clarence traveled to Washington, D.C., on a Queen City Honor Flight, visiting memorials honoring the sacrifices of those who served before them and alongside them.

Right at Home Rock Hill owner and Navy veteran Jim Ryan joined them as one of their guardians on the trip. He was proud to help celebrate this unforgettable experience and two American heroes.

"Ron and Clarence, thank you for your service and for allowing me to share this meaningful moment with you. I am proud to be part of this one last mission!"

Last week, our Director (Heather Jackson) and Assistant Director (Samantha Hahn) of Client Care had the opportunity to attend the Nebraska Home Care Association Annual Conference in Kearney! 🪴

We believe taking part in opportunities like these is important because they allow us to expand our knowledge 🧠, gain fresh perspectives 🪴, share ideas 💡, and build relationships 🙏 with others who are passionate about improving the quality of life for those in the communities we serve. Investing in these experiences helps our team strengthen their skills, stay connected, and continue finding new ways to better serve our clients, Care Pros, and communities.

Samantha gave us some highlights from her time there, "My biggest takeaways were the growing need for caregivers, the importance of recruiting and retaining quality staff and recognizing the impact loneliness can sometimes have on our clients. I also really enjoyed networking with other home care companies, sharing experiences and gaining new perspectives and ideas. The demand for in home care continues to grow and I think its important that we continue learning, adapting, and finding ways to best support both our caregivers and clients."

Our team was so honored to have the opportunity to represent at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Grand Island yesterday. 💜

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of such a meaningful day, surrounded by people united by love, hope, remembrance, and the belief that a world without Alzheimer’s is worth fighting for. 🌎

We walked for the memories, for the families, for the fighters, for the caregivers, and for everyone whose lives have been touched by this disease. We walked because every story matters, every person matters, and every step brings us closer to a future filled with more hope and fewer goodbyes. 💜👣
