Congratulations to Abahi "Al" Ojile on receiving the Jim Wade Scholarship!

Al is a dedicated current NRHS employee in the Physical Rehabilitation Department who continues to balance full-time work, family responsibilities, and his pursuit of becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant.

What sets Al apart is his commitment to serving others. From mentoring youth and coaching young athletes to pursuing a career focused on helping patients regain mobility and independence, he consistently demonstrates compassion, perseverance, and a servant's heart. This scholarship is well deserved, and I have no doubt he will continue making a positive impact on both his patients and our community. Congratulations, Al! We are all so proud of you!

✨ NRHF Board Spotlight: Meet Rocky Williams, Chair Elect ✨

Rocky Williams brings heart, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others to the NRH Foundation Board. Inspired by his family's history with cancer, Rocky joined the Foundation with a desire to help families facing difficult circumstances and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

When Rocky awards scholarships, the impact in those moments are what speaks to his heart and resonates with him.

Outside of the Foundation, Rocky is actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters and is passionate about giving back to the community. His greatest accomplishment is marrying his husband, Eric, and building a life together filled with love and purpose and the cutest puppies we have ever seen!

Whether he's planning his next adventure toward visiting all seven continents, enjoying a Broadway show in New York City, sneaking a box of Milk Duds, or falling down a YouTube rabbit hole, Rocky approaches life with gusto. And if you've ever met him, you know his smile lights up a room.

We are incredibly grateful for Rocky's leadership, generosity, and the countless hours he dedicates behind the scenes to help make great things happen at NRHF. 💙

Did you know the artwork outside Norman Regional Moore is called Sanctuary? 🎨 It is an art tribute to honor the courage and compassion of the staff who were on duty during the May 20, 2013 EF-5 tornado.

Created by artist Brower Hatcher of MidOcean Studio Inc., Sanctuary is more than 14 feet tall from the base and is a geometric matrix consisting of 2,000 crystals and steel rods in colors representing the Oklahoma sunset: blue, pink, purple and gold. 🌅✨

Some legacies continue to change lives year after year. 🤍

Yesterday, Dava Byrd visited the Norman Regional Health Foundation with balloons, sweet treats, and a generous gift in honor of what would have been Braxton Byrd’s 27th birthday.

The Braxton Byrd Foundation has transformed a day of remembrance into a day of generosity, supporting organizations throughout our community and carrying forward Braxton’s spirit by encouraging others to B kind, B strong, B brave, and B generous.

We are deeply honored to be one of the organizations chosen to receive a gift in Braxton’s memory. Thank you to Dava, Rick and the Braxton Byrd Foundation. Braxton’s legacy is touching lives in extraordinary ways.
