This dog training is special. It’s opened my mind up to so many extra skills I can apply this training too. I always wondered if I could train a dog to hunt actual metal like gold, silver, ferrous metals. The answer is yes! Check link below.
All you gotta do is alternate training samples and GO!
At the risk of sounding repetitive, here are a few simple everyday occurrences:
1. If I use glucose as a training sample, then my dog alerts within 10 points of the measured sample when it occurs in body 24/7/365.
2. If I use different alerting gestures my dog indicates whom has glucose drops, spikes, or high body temperature, or whom is currently possessing gun powder in your vicinity.
3. “Maam my medical alert dog says you need a candy bar.”
This is the worst conversation starter on earth.
4. They can lead you to gold literally, and metaphorically, but they don’t play when they work for keeps, they dig.
