Behind every clean, welcoming hospital space is a team making it happen.

Cache Valley Hospital has earned a 5-star cleanliness rating from CMS and was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review among the nation’s cleanest hospitals in 2026.

This recognition is a direct reflection of our incredible Environmental Services team — including Maria — whose attention to detail, consistency and pride in their work help create a safe, comfortable and healing environment for our patients, visitors and colleagues.

When you visit Cache Valley Hospital, you can count on more than clean rooms and hallways. You can count on a team committed to your safety, comfort and overall care experience, close to home.

The summer 2026 trauma season is officially underway and with it, please take precautions for your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of your loved ones. ❤️

Did you know? ATV accidents are a leading cause of severe, life-altering trauma. Roughly one-third of all ATV-related trauma admissions involve spinal injuries, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). These injuries often result from rollovers or ejections where the vehicle—weighing 500 - 600 pounds—lands on the rider or causes extreme compression of the spine.

It's just one reason wearing a helmet is crucial.

Dr. Jakub Sikora — a Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon specialist practicing at the Salt Lake Orthopedic Clinic at St. Mark's Hospital — joined Good Day Utah with Dan Evans & Kelly Chapman to talk about how you can prevent summer spine injuries.

Another concern? The water. Diving into an unfamiliar body of water can cause catastrophic cervical, or neck, injuries too.

"When it comes to water-related spine injuries... Scout water depth before diving, always! First time, feet first," Dr. Sikora told FOX 13 News. "Avoid any headfirst dives into shallow pools."

💚 In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Cache Valley Hospital is proud to celebrate alongside our fellow MountainStar Healthcare hospitals and HCA Healthcare in supporting a new partnership with Girl Scouts of Utah focused on championing positive mental wellness for girls and families across our communities.

Through a $25,000 investment from the HCA Healthcare Foundation, this initiative will provide girls across Utah with tools and experiences that build confidence, resilience and connection, because — as Dr. Sara Kelly, Division Chief Medical Officer for HCA Healthcare’s Mountain Division shared, "Supporting positive mental wellness for young people is critical to building healthier tomorrows."

The partnership will support statewide mental wellness programming, including Girl Scouts of Utah’s Grow Your Glow event and year-round wellness resources designed to help girls navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful connections.

Also present at the announcement this week were colleagues from our division’s Mental Wellness Colleague Network—helping highlight the importance of supporting mental wellness both inside our hospitals and throughout the communities we serve.

If you’ve had a baby, you may have heard of postpartum hemorrhage — or severe bleeding after childbirth. While uncommon, it can become life-threatening without prompt treatment, which is why it’s important to recognize warning signs early.

Across our broader HCA Healthcare network of care, more than 200,000 babies are delivered each year. Clinical data from those deliveries helps us identify and implement evidence-based practices to improve maternal and newborn outcomes. This includes reducing elective deliveries before 39 weeks, strengthening blood clot prevention and using medications to reduce the occurrence and severity of postpartum hemorrhage.

💢 If you experience heavy bleeding or feel something isn’t right after giving birth, call 911 or seek immediate care. Know where to go in case of an emergency: https://bit.ly/4dATv2I

Memorial Day is a time to pause and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We also remember the families who carry their legacy forward and reflect on the profound impact of their courage and selflessness.

As we care for patients and support one another each day at Cache Valley Hospital, we are guided by that same spirit of service and commitment to others. In memory of those who gave their all, let’s continue our commitment to serve with purpose and put people first in all that we do.
