Jo Ann Stroud (nee Schumacher), age 81, of LeGrange, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Life Care Center in Medina.
She was born in Dayton, grew up in Fairview Park and had been a resident of LaGrange for the past 60 years.
Jo Ann loved crocheting, flower gardening, and was a devoted grandmother who loved teaching her grandchildren to read. She was a Girl Scout leader and 4-H advisor for over 20 years.
Survivors include her sons Anthony (Deborah) Stroud of LaGrange, Shaun of Wellington, grandchildren Amber, Felicity, Ashley, Rebecca, Hailey, AJ, Cassandra and Craig, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, parents Earl and Harriett (nee Smith) Schumacher, daughter Catherine Stroud, grandchildren Ashley and Dustin Kasubienski and brother Arthur Schumacher.
The family will receive friends Thursday October 29, 2025 from 6-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Keesee officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lorain County Friends of the Library at the Lorain Public Library System, 351 W. Sixth St., Lorain, OH 44052.

Louise Wreatha Mason Loop, age 96, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026,
encompassed by the love of her family. She was a resident of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and previously of North Olmsted, Ohio.

Louise was born in a farmhouse in Ionia County, Michigan, to Ida May Rater and Donald L. Mason. She was raised on a farm in Sherman, New York, which was without electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing which was typical of the time and area.

Louise attended Sherman High School, participating in cheerleading, theater, and was yearbook editor. She graduated in 1948 as class valedictorian. She was known for her beautiful voice, singing at local events and weddings. Following graduation, Louise moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, where she was employed as a telephone operator.

On April 12, 1952, she married Frederick Martin Loop in North East, Pennsylvania.
Following a honeymoon at Niagara Falls, the couple moved to Athens, Ohio, where Fred completed his degree in chemistry. Fred’s career with PPG Industries took the family to several locations before settling in North Olmsted, Ohio, in 1963. Together they raised four children and were married for 32 years until his untimely death in 1984.

Guided by her abiding faith in God, Louise was active in John Knox Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and served in many roles, including Sunday school teacher, nursery school volunteer, and choir member.
