⭐️Staff Spotlight⭐️ Time!

In honor of Physical Therapy month, we’re highlighting some of amazing therapy staff! Today’s highlight is Alissa, Rehab Supervisor!

Alissa has been with Interim for about 3 years now, first as a PT in our Eau Claire, Wi office and now as a rehab supervisor for our Eau Claire, Hudson and Rochester offices! Whether it’s in the field visiting patients or in the office supporting the therapy team, Alissa strives to be respectful, kind, and open minded. She has a huge heart and is always looking out for the best interest of others. We appreciate everything you do, Alissa, and we’re so happy to have you on our team!

1) What made you want to get into physical therapy?

I had initially planned to go into communication disorders (Speech Therapy), and after taking my intro class, I knew it was not the profession for me. My dad was talking to a friend who was a PT, and they recommended I consider PT as a profession. I'm thankful every day that I listened to that advice! I love my profession!

2) If you had a song that would play every time you were walking into a patient's home, what would it be?

I honestly love my profession so much, I don't know what else I'd want to do. Maybe a travel agent, specializing in local, off-beat destinations.

I actually asked some friends for help with this one and their words were: caring, approachable, God-centered

Congratulations Angelica!

Amber has shown such strength and dedication during her time with us. She treats every patient with kindness, compassion, and respect. Thank you for being such an incredible nurse in our community!

1) What inspired you to become a nurse?

My oldest daughter has type 1 diabetes. I learned all about the physiology of T1D and then decided I wanted to be a nurse.

2) What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The patient care. Love the patients!

3) What makes home health nursing different than other nursing settings?

Most patients are so appreciative. I havent seen this in every field I have worked in nursing. Gratitude goes really far and warms the heart!

4) What is one think you always keep in your car or bag?

Monster energy drinks!

5) What is your go-to song to listen to during those drives between patients?

1) What inspired you to become a nurse?

I knew I wanted to help people and found this to be rewarding and there are so many different options in nursing to be able to find what you’re passionate about.

2) What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing people when they are at their lowest and watching them recover and get better.

3) What makes home health nursing different than other nursing settings?

You make one on one connections and can provide them with the tools to be successful.

4) What is one think you always keep in your car or bag?

Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes
