I got to wrap up another world doula week by supporting a mama welcoming her sweet baby girl late last night! Nothing can compare to the amazing clients I get to support through their birth experiences and the families I get the honor of seeing born. So many people forget that it’s not just the baby being born, but the parents as well. Each and every one of my doula families hold such a special place in my heart and it’s forever growing as I support more and more families. Supporting clients in all environments and guiding them through their own unique experiences is what I was made to do. Hospital, home, breach, twins, unmedicated, VBAC, VBA2C, cesarean, epidurals, inductions. (But come on Iowa, let’s add birth centers to this list PLEASE 🙄). Thank you to all of my amazing clients and families who continue to make this dream of mine come true! ❤️❤️❤️

“I was very excited when my hubby agreed to a doula and from the initial call, felt connected to Ari. She is truly a gem and her kindness is just amazing. Ari is very knowledgeable, provides great resources and is very supportive and client centered.

We had a few unexpected stressors occur (because nothing goes as planned lol) and Ari would provide resources, support and help to keep me level headed. Ari really helped me to develop questions when I needed to talk to my medical team and encouraged me to advocate for myself as well. Ari never pushed ideas that didn't work for me/I didn't prefer. My interactions with Ari left me feeling empowered to deliver vaginally and speak with my medical team. However when a planned cesarean was scheduled due to breech presentation and I was upset, Ari's comfort and support was just amazing. She normalized everything and challenged any negative/unhelpful thoughts I had.

I can't express how grateful we were/are for Ari. She captured amazing birth photos and played such a big part of my pregnancy to postpartum. I am so glad we got to cross paths! I highly recommend her! “
