A milestone worth celebrating for South Routt!

South Routt Medical Center’s groundbreaking marks an important step forward in our expansion and renovation project, and in the future of healthcare close to home.

This is more than a building. It shows what can happen when people come together to support what matters in a rural community.

The project is supported by significant federal and state grant funding:
• $307,000 from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s Coal Transition Community Planning Grant.
• $1 million from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs’ Energy Impact Assistance Fund.
• $2.3 million from the Health Resources and Services Administration for rural healthcare facility expansion.

These investments support planning, design, and construction to create more space for patient care, improve privacy and accessibility, and help SRMC meet our community’s growing healthcare needs.

Thank you to Oak Creek Mayor Dobbins , Routt County Commissioners Angelica Salinas, Sonya Macys, and Tim Redmond, and Representative Meghan Lukens for joining us to celebrate. We deeply appreciate your support, along with the partnership of the Town of Oak Creek and Routt County.

Breaking ground on our renovation and expansion honors generations of community members whose vision, hard work, and dedication have kept quality healthcare close to home for more than 60 years. This next chapter builds on their legacy and their belief in caring for one another.

We’re so thankful for our providers and staff, whose compassion and dedication make a difference for our patients every day.

Thank you to our board members, volunteers, community supporters, and local, state, and federal partners for helping make this possible. This investment in Oak Creek and South Routt will support our families for generations to come.

🚧 Exciting changes are beginning at South Routt Medical Center!

Construction is getting underway for our Expansion and Renovation, a grant-funded investment in the future of local health care.

We will remain open throughout construction. Work will take place in phases so we can continue caring for our patients while improvements move forward.

As construction progresses, you may notice temporary changes around the facility and hear construction noise. We’re working to minimize disruptions and appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate the moving parts of this project.

As a special district, serving our community is at the heart of what we do. We’re excited to take this next step for South Routt!

South Routt Medical Center is hosting a Community Vaccine Clinic in Yampa on Friday, October 2nd from 8:00–10:00 AM at Crossan’s/Town Hall.

With the clinic happening on a Friday, it’s a great opportunity for local students and families to access important vaccines with a little more flexibility around the school week.

Please bring your insurance card if you have one. Vaccines will also be available for uninsured community members. Please reach out with any questions!

What an inspiring day at Healthy Her: Yampa Valley Women’s Health Forum! 💙

We were proud to have our provider, Dr. Barbara Novotny, share her health insights and be part of this wonderful event focused on women’s health, education, and connection.

All of the speakers and participating organizations were amazing! Thank you to United Way of the Yampa Valley and Women United for bringing our community together, and to the sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made the day so special.
