With more than 38 years of experience in healthcare, including a distinguished career in emergency medicine, Dr. Czito brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a deep commitment to caring for rural communities. Her background serving diverse and underserved populations across the country aligns closely with our mission here in South Routt.

The South Routt Medical Foundation is raising support this Colorado Gives season to strengthen the South Routt Medical Center and expand wellness programs for our community.

We serve a rural area of nearly 3,000 residents, many of whom rely on Medicare, Medicaid, or are uninsured. With long winter drives to Steamboat or Vail, our local medical center is a lifeline for families throughout Oak Creek, Yampa, Phippsburg, Stagecoach, Morrison Creek, and Toponas.

Mental & Behavioral Health Survey Now Open!

Your voice matters, South Routt.

A new Yampa Valley–wide Mental & Behavioral Health Survey is now underway, and we’re asking everyone who lives or works in Routt or Moffat County to take just a few minutes to help shape the future of mental health services in our region.

This confidential survey will help identify:
✔ Our community’s biggest mental health needs
✔ Barriers to care
✔ Gaps in resources
✔ Where support is working — and where it’s not

The results will guide funding, programs, and services that impact South Routt families, schools, and neighbors.

Routt County’s new Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) is now available to help our community in times of crisis. This dedicated team — made up of a mental health clinician, law enforcement officer, and case manager — provides compassionate, on-scene support for those experiencing a mental health emergency.

If you or someone you know is in crisis:
