Twenty-five years ago today, our nation paused — and in the days that followed, so many of us learned what it means to show up for one another. Nurses, first responders, neighbors, strangers who became family for a moment.

That spirit of care is something we carry with us every day at HALO Primary Care. Today, we're holding space for those we lost, the families who carry their memory, and the responders and caregivers who ran toward danger to help others.

“Why do you keep testing the same labs every year?”

Fair question. One result is a snapshot, the trend is what matters. An A1C moving from 5.4 to 5.7 to 5.9 over three years tells us plenty, and gives us time to change course before it becomes a diagnosis. Same goes for kidney function, cholesterol, thyroid, and vitamin D.

The repetition isn’t redundancy, it’s how prevention works. We’re watching the slope, not the point.
