🇺🇸 The emblem of the land I love 🇺🇸
To celebrate Flag Day, Intandem’s Day Services program held a special ceremony Friday morning in Lockport. The Niagara County Honor Guard lent its time to visit us to raise the flag and guests from the Lockport Elks Lodge #41 presented an informative talk on how to fold the flag and the meaning of every fold: we even got to participate in some hands-on demonstration. And the IN the Spotlight Singers performed a medley of patriotic songs before everyone was invited inside for cake for America’s 250th birthday! Thank you to the Niagara County Honor Guard and the Elks Lodge, we are so grateful for this opportunity for our program!

Strong partnerships create stronger communities.

On Thursday, Brad South, Intandem's Senior Vice President of Program Operations, joined Jeff Townsend, CEO of the YMCA of the Twin Tiers, for a panel discussion on Strategic Collaboration in Action at the Cattaraugus County Nonprofit Hub event at Holiday Valley.

As part of the conversation, Brad discussed the partnership between Intandem and the YMCA of the Twin Tiers through Swizzy's Cause, a program that supports individuals living with mental illness.

Brad also emphasized the importance of securing buy-in from leadership and front-line staff, maintaining open communication, and regularly reviewing partnerships to ensure they remain effective and beneficial for everyone involved.

Thank you to the Cattaraugus County Nonprofit Hub for bringing local leaders together to share ideas and strengthen the impact of nonprofit organizations throughout our region.

This week, our We Remember Committee was finally able to get out and honor the individuals who are no longer in our care. A time-honored tradition, the cleaning and preparation of gravestones each spring and winter wreath placement ensures that their memories continue to live on.

Billy’s commitment, skill, and willingness to lend a hand have made a lasting impact on Intandem. Whether tackling repairs, maintaining our facilities, or helping wherever needed, he has been an invaluable part of our team.

🎨🎤 From the art gallery to the bright stage, the spotlight shined on Intandem’s incredibly talented artists Thursday night. The Taylor Theater at the once again welcomed us to host the third annual Hues and Harmony show. 
The Intandem Creative Arts Program not only showcased the beautiful works of art created in our classrooms but took the stage to show off our musical talents. Featuring the IN the Spotlight Singers, chorus members from both Niagara Falls and Lockport Day Services sang, danced and even signed their way through a program of songs meaningful in a variety of ways, from “This Little Light of Mine” to “You Are My Sunshine.” The Niagara chorus took the stage first, followed by Lockport. Then, they shared the stage together for a show-stopping finale, a heartwarming rendition of “Lean on Me.” 
👏 Led by our Creative Arts Coordinator Jen Mysliwy, this show celebrated the creativity of so many members of our Intandem community. Take another bow, Spotlight Singers! You were truly marvelous!
