Thursday’s midday entertainment was Skylar Perran. She played the violin beautifully and sang with an amazing voice. She shared her talents, and we enjoyed them.

She has played for most of her life and just graduated from college. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Happy Hour with Joyce Torchia was fantastic. She sang many songs, some old and some newer. She involved the residents and asked them to sing along.

A great time was had by all who came. We always appreciate the patriotic song to honor our Veterans. Thanks Joyce for an awesome time and the cackling witch laugh was a great way to end the show!

Today, we had the pleasure of a Halloween parade with the kids from All About Kidz, and trick-or-treating. The residents dressed up, and fun and many laughs were enjoyed by everyone.

Thursday was Float & Learn: The Hearing Scoop. We learned all about hearing issues and ways to help our hearing while we had Root B**r Floats. Thanks, Dr. Brian with Custom Hearing, for coming every month for free hearing aid and ear care for the residents.

Wednesday, the Ackerman Student Council visited, and we made Hedgehog leaf prints. Each resident and student glued leaves and colored their creature. They shared warm conversation and knowledge. Thank you to Ackerman for being part of our community!

The fourth Sunday means that the puppy’s come for Dog Therapy, one of the best activities of the month.

Friday Happy Hour was with Joel David McGrath, and what a fine musician he is. He was engaging, sang fun songs, and told a little history with some of the songs.

This was a great Trunk or Treat Night. We had residents, vendors, and employees bring cars for folks to Trunk or Treat. No one had the same theme, and lots of trick-or-treaters visited cars and residents and we all enjoyed the beautiful weather. Happy Halloween!
