Educating the next generation of women! I was thrilled to have taught this childbirth education class that incorporated the young women in this mom’s life.
The more education the better! They were able to ask questions, and talk openly about birth. It was a one of kind experience and I loved every minute of it!

One of the top recommendations I make for both moms *and* babies is seeing a chiropractor!

For Mom:
Pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding all place a lot of stress on the body. While nursing, many moms find themselves hunching over or twisting into awkward positions to help baby latch, often leading to neck, shoulder, back, and hip pain.

Chiropractic care can help:
Relieve neck and back tension
Improve posture and mobility
Support recovery after pregnancy and birth
Restore alignment of the pelvis and spine

For Baby:
Sometimes babies experience tightness or restrictions that can affect feeding. This may show up as:
A preference for nursing on one side
Difficulty turning their head equally
Challenges with latching or staying latched

A pediatric chiropractor uses very gentle techniques to help address these concerns. Many babies sleep right through their adjustments! Parents also commonly notice improvements in comfort, movement, and even digestion. Don’t be surprised if a diaper blow out follows an appointment!

As always, every baby is different, and chiropractic care is just one tool that can be part of a comprehensive breastfeeding support plan.

Chiropractors can be an incredible addition to your breastfeeding support team! Tag your favorite chiropractor below!

Here are some wonderful local chiropractors:
Hoogeveen Chiropractic (Bellevue)

Dr. Elle Klink | Prenatal, Pediatric, + Family Chiropractor (Millard)

Aligned Health and Wellness, P.C. (NW Omaha)

honestchiropractic (Gretna)

Did you know that there are breastfeeding classes, and even prenatal (antenatal) lactation visits with an IBCLC?

Preparing for breastfeeding before your baby arrives can make a world of difference. These classes and consultations help parents understand what to expect, navigate common challenges, and build a strong foundation for their breastfeeding journey.

That foundation is important for every nursing dyad and can provide confidence and reassurance during those early days when both parent and baby are learning together.

We’re fortunate to have wonderful local resources, including in-person breastfeeding classes with MilkWorks and private prenatal lactation consultations with Nurture Omaha and Therese Dansby, RN, IBCLC | holistic lactation consultant .

Not local? Or looking for support that’s available anytime? Earbud IBCLC is an incredible resource, think of it as an on-demand lactation counselor right in your pocket! 🎧💛

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, where we’ll be highlighting everything Earbud IBCLC has to offer!
