Meet Caleb Hanson

Caleb is a master's-level counseling intern from Viterbo University who also serves on Stein Counseling's Family and Community Services team. His dual role allows him to gain valuable clinical experience while supporting clients and collaborating with colleagues across the organization.

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys exploring new places, trying new foods, and seeking out new experiences. 🌎 Whether he's traveling, attending local events, or taking on a new adventure, he enjoys staying active and engaged. Recently, he's also rediscovered a love of reading, with philosophy and historical fiction among his favorite genres. 📚

Caleb will graduate with his master's degree next May and plans to continue growing with Stein Counseling as he completes his training. 🎓 Prior to pursuing counseling, he earned an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Theology. Looking ahead, he hopes to integrate both areas of study by supporting individuals who have experienced religious trauma or spiritual abuse. 💜

Caleb is passionate about helping people process difficult experiences and find healing in ways that honor their unique values, beliefs, and identities. He believes that humor, joy, and genuine human connection can be powerful parts of the healing process and strives to bring those qualities into his work whenever appropriate.

Join Jen TeBeest-Severson, LPC, DMT for our Trauma-Informed Yoga group, a supportive and welcoming space designed to help participants reconnect with their body, breath, and sense of safety. As Father’s Day comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate all the fathers and father figures who make a difference in the lives of those they love.

Whether you’re a dad, stepdad, grandfather, foster parent, mentor, or someone who has stepped into a fatherly role, your presence, guidance, and support matter more than you may realize.

We also recognize that Father’s Day can bring a mix of emotions. For some, today is a celebration. For others, it may be a reminder of loss, complicated relationships, or longing. Wherever you find yourself this evening, we encourage you to extend yourself grace and compassion.

What an incredible day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for Stein Counseling's Open House and 25th Anniversary Celebration with La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce. We were honored to welcome community members, partners, referral sources, clients, friends, family, and supporters as we celebrated this special milestone together.

It was wonderful to showcase our expanded space, share more about the services we provide, strengthen community connections, and reflect on the past 25 years of serving individuals, families, and communities throughout the Coulee Region.

We are deeply grateful for the trust, support, and partnerships that have allowed us to grow and continue our mission of bringing light to the darkness, hope to the hopeless, and restoration to those we serve.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates freedom, resilience, culture, and progress.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our nation's history, honor the strength and contributions of Black Americans, and recommit ourselves to fostering communities where every individual is valued, respected, and supported.

At Stein Counseling, we believe that healing, hope, and belonging are essential for all people. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we acknowledge the importance of listening, learning, and working toward a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
