Meet Joe Curry, our bereavement coordinator and valued member of our SouthernCare family.
Joe has been with SouthernCare for nearly two years, offering emotional support, resources, and guidance to families navigating grief during and after a loved one’s illness.
Joe and his wife, Leanna, have been married for 17 years and have four amazing sons: Theodore, Samuel, Isaiah, and Ezra. A lifelong Mansfield local, Joe graduated from Crestview High and Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Joe feels called to love and serve people with the gifts and abilities he has been given. He appreciates the opportunity to help people in one of life’s darkest moments and feels grateful for his supportive teammates at SouthernCare.
Joe believes in the power of patient, non-judgmental listening. He focuses on creating a safe, comforting space for those hurting, rather than rushing to solve every problem.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys playing sports with his boys, including pickleball, football, and baseball. He’s an avid Cleveland Guardians fan and baseball enthusiast. He also enjoys being outside, archery, fishing, and collecting retro video games and baseball cards.
Joe shares, “I am truly grateful to be able to work for SouthernCare. The people I work with and support are wonderful. Life has a way of knocking you down. It is a blessing to know that you are not alone when you find yourself in the valley.”
