🔊 Here is a case of some complementary therapy being used on an athlete suffering with Achilles tendonitis.

Radial shockwave therapy was used in conjunction with soft tissue work, with both modalities being used to improve pain and function in a shorter time period than rehab alone.

He was also given a thorough gym based plan to appropriately load the tendon over the coming weeks.

Pain in the outer knee while running? 🏃🏻‍♂️
It could be IT band syndrome. IT band syndrome affects runners and cyclists (especially new runners), and can be made worse with a change of intensity, running on uneven ground and a poor running gait.

There are things you can try yourself if you believe you have IT band syndrome. But if unsure or it's not working it is something we diagnose and treat regularly here at Summit.
