Yesterday, we celebrated a special milestone — Sunshine Pediatrics OC turned 4 months old! 🎉

And what better way to celebrate than by highlighting one of our favorite baby ages — 4 months! 🥹

At 4 months, babies are full of smiles, giggles, curiosity, and pure joy. They’re discovering their little hands, finding their voices, and exploring the world around them. It’s such a magical stage of development!

Just like our little patients, Sunshine Pediatrics OC is growing, learning, and reaching new milestones every day! 💛

We’re so grateful to all the families who have trusted us with their little ones and supported us on this journey. Here’s to many more months (and years!) of growing together! ☀️

Beyfortus is here at Sunshine Pediatrics OC! ☀️

Beyfortus (nirsevimab) is a long-acting antibody that helps protect babies from severe illness caused by RSV. It is not a vaccine and provides antibodies directly to your baby.

Beyfortus is recommended for infants younger than 8 months entering their first RSV season, and some children ages 8–19 months at increased risk for severe RSV may also be eligible.

For most babies, RSV protection is recommended through either maternal RSV vaccination during pregnancy or an infant RSV antibody (Beyfortus)—not both.

October is SIDS Awareness Month 💛

A safe sleep environment can help reduce the risk of SIDS and other sleep-related infant deaths.

Remember: back to sleep, every sleep. Keep baby’s sleep space firm, flat, and clear, and have baby sleep in their own sleep space in your room.

Small steps can make a big difference in creating a safer sleep environment for your baby. ☀️

Today we’re sharing a little glimpse of the families behind our Sunshine pediatricians. From the families who raised us to the families we’ve built — including our four-legged family members 🐾 — they’re a big part of who we are.

Celebrate today in whatever way feels like family to you — share a meal, take a walk, play a game, call someone you love, or simply spend a little extra time together. 💛

Family looks different for everyone, and today we’re celebrating all the people (and pups!) who make it feel like home.

Pajamas, books, cookies, and a little Sunshine! ☀️📚🍪

Drs. Kim, Kornu, and Lee had such a wonderful time at Cadence Park Elementary School’s Pumajama event yesterday!

Students came to school in their PJs for a special storytime with guest readers, and our doctors were excited to join the fun by sharing cookies, Sunshine goodies, and plenty of smiles! 💛

Thank you, Cadence Park Elementary, for welcoming Sunshine Pediatrics OC into your school community! We loved being part of such a fun event! 🐾

Growth charts are about so much more than a single percentile. 🌻

At each well visit, we follow your child’s growth over time. There’s no one “perfect” percentile — what matters most is their individual growth pattern and how it changes as they grow.

Every child grows differently, and we love getting to watch our patients grow right alongside them. ☀️💛

Flu is already circulating — and now is a good time to help your child build protection. 💛

It takes about 2 weeks after vaccination for the body to develop immune protection, and some children may need 2 doses this season.

Sunshine Pediatrics OC’s four board-certified pediatricians each completed 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years of pediatric residency — and the learning doesn’t stop there.

They continue to stay current through ongoing medical education so they can provide thoughtful, evidence-based care for the children and families they are privileged to care for.

This past weekend, Dr. Lee & Dr. Kim (and Kip! 🐶) volunteered at the first aid station for OC GRIT!

We loved having the chance to get outside the office and support our Orange County community. 🩺☀️
