Mother’s Day has always been challenging day for me and maybe it is for you too. It has a lot of mixed emotions as I love to celebrate my mom and mother in law and so many other women out there, but it’s always a reminder of the experience of motherhood I never had. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so grateful for my many blessings but if today is tough for you - I’m sending you a hug. And if you want to shelter in place, avoiding the grocery store bagger or the church sermon or anyone that recognizes the moms as you nod your head as it’s easier than explanations, I feel you. And if today is a day you are facing the holiday without your mom, my heart aches for you too, as I know how special moms are. Know that I’m praying for you and holding your hand if it’s hard. ❤️

Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Feathers have been my love language from God for many years. And when I heard the verse Psalm 91:4, it touched my core that God loves me so much. And with God, I can be protected in His love. Under His wings you are safe.

A few weeks ago, our garage had over twenty feathers scattered. And this week, one of the largest feathers I have ever seen.

I feel compelled to share that Jesus loves you ❤️

Rainbows have always been a sign to me, of hope and eternal promises. This week while driving in a messy construction zone I saw a beautiful white cross in front of a church and a spectacular rainbow behind it. It was the most beautiful photo opp and yet I didn’t capture it. But in the mess, I saw it, I felt Jesus. In our mess Jesus is there. In the rain, Jesus is the light of the world.

To me, it was a sign that Jesus is the way, because of the cross and his sacrifice for all of us. And what lies beyond is beautiful hope and eternal promises. And today is such a powerful day. The tomb is rolled away and Jesus is risen from the dead!! He is risen!!!
