Update on Mateo 💚

Thank you all so much for your prayers, love, and support. It truly means more than you know, and every prayer makes a difference. 🥹🙏🏼

Mateo’s ANC was actually high, so thankfully we were able to be discharged and come home. 🤞🏼💚 His viral swab also came back negative, so they weren’t able to find a virus causing his fever.

We’re still not exactly sure what he has going on, but some of his bloodwork does have me questioning things because clearly his little body is fighting something. 😔

For now, we’re just praying that whatever it is, his body can fight it off, that the fevers stay away, and that we can stay home and avoid another trip to the ER. 🙏🏼

Through it all, Mateo continues to amaze me with how strong and brave he is. My little warrior never stops fighting. 💚🥹

Thank you again to everyone who has checked on him, prayed for him, and continues to support our boy. It means the world to us. 🫶🏼💚

Update on our little warrior 💚

Mateo wasn’t feeling too good last night and developed a little fever this morning, so as part of his protocol, we’re back at the ER. 😔 We’re currently waiting on results and praying that everything looks good so we can go home soon. 🤞🏼🙏🏼

Through it all, he’s being so brave and strong, just like he always is. 🥺💚 My sweet little warrior never ceases to amaze me. Please keep Mateo in your prayers today. 🙏🏼💚

I don’t even know how to put into words what these past two days meant to us. 🥹❤️

A HUGE thank you to Dunn's KIDS Foundation & St. Lucie County Fire District for making Mateo’s dream come true. 🚒🧑‍🚒

Watching his face light up as he met the firefighters, explored the station, and climbed into the fire truck was absolutely priceless. He proudly told me, “Mommy, I’m a REAL firefighter now!” 😂❤️

As his mom, seeing him forget about the hard days and simply be a happy little boy means more than I can explain.

Thank you for making him feel special, giving him a dream to hold onto, and creating memories we will never forget. ❤️

Thank you for showing my little boy that anything is possible. 🧑‍🚒🚒

🍋💛 COME OUT & SUPPORT OUR LITTLE WARRIOR, MATEO! 💛🍋

Today at 1:30 PM, Mateo will be back out selling lemonade! 🥹🍋

For most people, it may just be a cup of lemonade… but for Mateo, this little lemonade stand means so much more. 💚

Mateo has been fighting his way through his neutropenia journey, facing blood draws, doctor visits, illnesses, scary fevers, and so many moments that no child should ever have to go through. Yet somehow, he continues to smile, stay strong, and keep pushing forward. 🥹💪🏼🦸🏻‍♂️

So today, we’re asking our village to come out, grab a cup, and show this brave little boy that he is NOT fighting alone. 💚

These past three days were supposed to be filled with so many fun things for Mateo. 💔 He had different events and activities planned—things he had been looking forward to for weeks. But because of his recent illness, we’ve had to cancel everything. 😭

He understands a little bit, but that doesn’t make it any easier. It absolutely breaks my heart having to tell him, “I’m sorry baby boy, we can’t go today,” when I know how excited he was. And hearing him say how sad he is because he really wanted to go, how he wishes he could’ve gone, and how he wishes he could’ve been out selling lemonade… it hurts in a way I can’t even explain. 💔

As his mommy, I wish I could make everything perfect for him. I wish I could take away every disappointment, every missed opportunity, every sick day, and every moment where he has to understand that his health has to come first. I wish he never had to miss a single thing.

He deserves to be a little boy who gets to just have fun, make memories, go to events, see his friends, and do all the things he looks forward to. And sometimes it’s so incredibly unfair that his neutropenia makes him miss out on those moments. 😭

I know there will be more events. More adventures. More lemonade days. More memories to make. But right now, my heart just hurts for my baby because I know how badly he wanted to be there.

If I could give him the whole world, I would. If I could make him never miss a thing, I would. And if I could take away every ounce of disappointment from his little heart, I would do that too. ❤️‍🩹

For now, all I can do is hold him a little tighter, remind him that it’s okay to be sad, and promise him that when he’s feeling better, we’ll make up for every missed moment we possibly can.

Mommy loves you more than words could ever explain, Mateo. You may have to miss some things, but you will never have to face any of it alone. 💚💪🏼

Update on Mateo 💚

Mateo did test positive for a virus, but thankfully his ANC was really good, which was such a huge relief! 🙏🏼💚 Because of that, we were able to be discharged and come home last night.

He’s still not feeling his best, but we’re so thankful to be recovering at home. Thank you all so much for checking on him, praying for him, and keeping our little warrior in your thoughts. 🥹💚🙏🏼

Mateo started not feeling well last night and has had a fever throughout the day, so we are currently at the ER waiting for his results and to find out what the next steps will be. 💔

Praying hard that his ANC is good enough for us to be able to go home tonight. 🙏🏼🤞🏼 Please keep my baby in your prayers and send him all the good vibes. 💚

Hoping for good news and another safe trip home. 🙏🏼
