Yesterday was one of those rare days that remind you exactly why moments matter! We had the privilege of granting a wish for one of our special residents. Ruth wanted to swim in in the lake.

We rented a water wheelchair and headed down to Wentworth State Park. She was surrounded by 3 generations of her family; children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The weather was perfect and the water felt great!

Here at MVC we are trying to grant wishes, one at a time with our “One Wish” Program. Our day at the lake is our latest adventure with hopefully many more to come!

(We enjoyed working with Northeast Passage down at UNH to rent the wheelchair. They have so much fun equipment. Highly recommend reaching out if you ever need anything!)

Yesterday we got to experience some Japanese culture. Takumi Kato and his 3 sons; Izumi, Ryoma, and Yamato shared their Japanese Taiko drumming with us. They are known as “Peaceful Forest” and they are on a mission to play 1000 shows all over all 50 states. Yesterday’s show was number 776!

Last week we had a “Summer Fun Week” which included a visit from the ice cream truck, a summer luncheon, flamingo bingo and summer themed minute to win it games. We ended the week with a water day filled with laughs, water guns and rides through the sprinkler!
