Thanks to support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas through the Pathways to a Healthy Kansas initiative, our community-accessible salad and soup bar will continue to grow with expanded salad options, fresh grab-and-go selections, half-priced salads on Mondays and more to come.

More families in Ottawa, Franklin County and surrounding rural communities will soon have access to enhanced maternity care close to home.

New ultrasound technology, baby warmers and a bilirubinometer are being added to the Family Birth Place to help care teams support mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery and the first hours of life.

These additions build on the return of local labor and delivery services, giving more families the opportunity to welcome their babies close to the people and community that matter most.

After visiting AdventHealth Castle Rock's new cancer center, 7-year-old Paige Twibell couldn't stop thinking about the people she met and the journeys they were facing.

Then she made a decision.

Instead of simply celebrating her upcoming birthday, Paige chose to grow out her hair and donate it to help create a wig for someone going through cancer treatment. Her reason was simple: her hair would grow back, and it might help someone else smile.

Sometimes the most meaningful gifts come from the smallest hands.
