A family from the Mt. Sterling area recently reached out to one of our therapists concerning a donation.
A few days later, one of the family members showed up with a VERY special gift for Juniper Tree Recovery.
A PRICELESS gift indeed, in every sense of the word.
This beautiful Hummingbird guitar belonged to the donor’s late father, who played gospel music on it for many years. And now, it has been donated to Juniper Tree Recovery in an amazing act of love, generosity and hope.
The guitar will remain at the center and has already become part of the program.
It will be available to residents who can play guitar and wish to use it as a coping tool, also to those who want to learn to play guitar and lastly, for visiting gospel singers and/or groups or churches who want to add it as part of their service.
Today, Brother Rick May visited the center and played a gospel song for the residents at dinner (video will be posted directly after this post.)
This was the first time since the donation that the guitar has been used in it’s new home.
The first of MANY times this instrument will be used to glorify God.
Thank you so very much to the donor family, what an endearing and lasting tribute to your late father.
Thank you, Brother Rick May for your visit and song today.
And Thank You, God …for everything. 🤍
