Some visits are quick check-ins. Some are prevention.

We relieve pressure points, monitor circulation, and check skin integrity, especially for diabetic patients.

Prevention is quieter than surgery. But it’s just as important.

At Vale Foot and Ankle Surgery, we always start with conservative care before even talking about surgery. Most of the time, there are plenty of options to try first, and we walk you through what actually makes sense for your situation.

We use tools like X-rays and ultrasound to guide treatment, including targeted injections like steroids or regenerative options such as stem cell products. For a lot of patients, this is the step that finally gets them relief without needing the operating room.

If your heel pain isn’t improving, it doesn’t automatically mean surgery.

Sometimes we need to adjust the diagnosis. Sometimes we need to adjust the approach.

That’s why follow-ups matter.

Plantar fasciitis is stubborn. But it’s usually manageable.

Stretching, strengthening, proper support, consistency is what makes the difference.

The majority of our patients improve without ever stepping into an operating room.

Surgery isn’t the starting point. At Vale, we use imaging, guided injections, bracing, therapy, and biomechanical correction first.

Most foot and ankle problems improve when you treat the cause early and correctly.

Support changes mechanics. Custom orthotics aren’t just inserts. They redistribute pressure, stabilize the foot, and reduce strain on irritated tissue.

When conservative care works, this is often part of why.

When you have diabetes and start to lose feeling in your feet, things don’t always show up the way you’d expect. A blister, a small cut, even stepping on something at home can go completely unnoticed… and your body might not react with the usual redness or pain right away.

It’s why we keep a close eye on our diabetic patients and recommend regular visits, even when everything feels fine 👣
