Amazing D Ranch ADR will be a working ranch for aggressive autistic adults providing a place to learn, & work. (Autism Speaks)

They can be unruly, and hard to control.

1 out of 36 people are born with autism, 62% of those people are males. (Autism Speaks). 68% of people with autism have been aggressive to a caregiver, with 49% to someone else. (Sparks)

o wandering or bolting by the year 14. Most have not been disciplined because “they are autistic and don’t know any better”. They act out because they do not have the words to say what is on their mind. Because of all this, they get left out. Amazing D Ranch wants to take a whole new approach to autism as to what may have already been done for the clients in their past. We will explore all possibilities for the cause of behavioral issues: medical, psychological, and most importantly communication where it is lacking. We are focusing on everything leading to a client lead environment. We want the client to have a say in their future. We recognize this is a major undertaking for clients and staff to get to that point.

ABA – What Parents Need To Know

Intervention using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has long been considered an effective and gold standard treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. However, ABA is frequently misunderstood. Perceptions of ABA have recently been a "hot button" issue, due to reports that this intervention can lead to trauma. In addition, ABA advocates and members of the neurodiversity movement have sometimes been at odds, the former advocating for intensive treatment and the latter arguing that autism must be accepted as a form of diversity. This mixed information can be confusing for parents who are striving to choose the best therapeutic interventions for their child with ASD. This presentation will explore these perceptions of ABA and provide clarification of the scientific evidence for various claims, with the goal of helping parents navigate the confusion and controversy and confidently identify the best therapeutic intervention for their child and family
