Diagnostic doesn’t automatically mean bad news. It usually means “let’s get additional views.”

Here’s something many patients don’t hear until they’re already at an appointment.

Sometimes your Physician may recommend an additional breast imaging exam to get a clearer look. One option is ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound), which can provide more detailed imaging, especially for Dense Breast tissue.

A lot of people think a mammogram is just “a mammogram,” but there are different types.

3D mammography, AKA 3D Tomography, captures multiple images that can be reviewed in layers, which can help radiologists see details more clearly. For many patients, that can mean more confidence in the reading and fewer “just in case” follow-ups.

If you have a screening scheduled and you’re not sure what type you’re getting, it’s always okay to ask.
