This World Mental Health Day centers on a powerful message: lived experiences can lead to real change. Everyone deserves space to share their perspectives, speak up about their needs and be met with understanding.

At Park Ridge Healthcare Center, we put this into practice by listening closely to the people we care for, their families and each other.

🐾 The Healing Power of a Wagging Tail 🐾

There are some moments that perfectly capture what hospice is all about.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteer, Cari, and her sweet pup, Zeke, for bringing smiles, comfort, and companionship to the residents of Park Ridge Healthcare Center (PRHC). ❤️

Whether it's a gentle cuddle, a warm nuzzle, or simply sharing a quiet moment, Zeke has a remarkable way of brightening the day and bringing joy to everyone he meets. These visits remind us that healing comes in many forms, and sometimes it has four paws and a wagging tail.

Thank you, Cari, for not only sharing Zeke with our residents but also for capturing these special memories for them and their families to treasure.

We are so grateful for volunteers like you who help make every day a little brighter. 🐶💛
