🥚✨ Raising capable kids starts young.

This morning my 7-year-old made his own eggs… and yes, there was a little mess when the shell cracked 😅 but I let him do it anyway.

Because confidence doesn’t come from being “perfect.”
It comes from practice.

When kids are allowed to try new tasks (even small ones like making breakfast), they’re not just learning life skills — they’re building:

✅ independence
✅ problem-solving
✅ patience
✅ emotional regulation
✅ resilience when things don’t go as planned

The kitchen is actually one of the best “classrooms” for kids.
A spilled egg becomes a lesson in cleanup, coping, and responsibility.

So if your child wants to help cook, pour, crack, mix, or stir…
let them. The mess is temporary — the confidence lasts.

💛 You’re not just raising a helper… you’re raising a capable human.

✨ In the middle of juggling ALL the things…
🏃‍♀️ rushing from one activity to the next
🧃 packing snacks
📅 keeping up with May madness

Don’t forget to fill your own cup too. 💛

Whether you’re a new mama up with nighttime feeds 🍼🌙
or a seasoned mom holding it all together 💪👩‍👦‍👦‍👦

Just remember… you are not alone. 🤍

Motherhood was never meant to be done without a village. 👯‍♀️🏡
Fill your cup so you can pour into the ones you love. ☕️✨

If you’re new here, we would LOVE for you to follow along and be part of our village 🫶💛

We are having a lot of fun over here with Dr. Lerman! You can call our office to get on his schedule!

Saturday breakfast for my 14-month-old 🥰

🍞 Annie’s Organic Biscuits
I love these because they’re high-quality
➡️ I served ½ to 1 biscuit (cut into small pieces)

🍳 Scrambled egg
Cook in a pan with a tiny bit of butter or olive oil until fully cooked.
➡️ 1 egg is a great toddler portion (or even ½ egg is fine!)

🥓 Canadian bacon
Pan warm for about 30–60 seconds per side.
➡️ 1 slice, chopped into tiny pieces

🍊 Orange slices
Peel, remove membranes if you can, and cut into toddler-safe pieces.
➡️ About 2–4 small pieces (or ¼ of an orange)

Toddler feeding reminder:
Around 12 months, you want your child gradually eating more solid food and relying less on milk volume.

And remember:
✨ Our job is to offer the food.
✨ Their job is to eat it.

So don’t stress if they don’t finish—just keep offering balanced meals as a starting point 💛
