Clair County Economic Development Council (EDC) was commissioned on January 15, 1999. It was established to facilitate industrial, institutional, commercial, and leadership development throughout St. Over the years it has been successful by showing people and investors that St. Clair County has a superlative quality of life along with a low cost of doing business.

Building Stronger Communities Through Planning and Partnerships 🤝

This morning, our Grants and Leadership Director, Candice Hill, spoke to the St. Clair County Mayors Association at Argo City Hall about the St. Clair County Grants Resource Center and the role strategic planning plays in successful grant funding.

From identifying opportunities and connecting resources to turning community visions into funded projects, the discussion focused on helping local communities compete for funding and create lasting impact.

We appreciate the opportunity to share how planning, partnerships, and preparation can help turn ideas into action across St. Clair County.

Today, students from the St. Clair County School System and Eden Career Technical Center’s Modern Manufacturing Program had the opportunity to visit Unipres Alabama, Inc. in Steele, Alabama for an inside look at advanced manufacturing in action!
Students toured the facility, learned about the manufacturing process, workplace safety, and career opportunities available right here in St. Clair County. Experiences like this help connect classroom learning with real-world careers and showcase the incredible industries that are investing in our communities and workforce.
A huge thank you to the team at Unipres Alabama, Inc. for welcoming our students and providing such an engaging and educational experience!

This morning, we joined the City of Ashville, Alabama, the St. Clair County Commission, and community partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new QuikTrip in Ashville, QT’s 13th location in Alabama. ✂️

This project reflects strong collaboration at the local and state level, bringing new jobs, continued investment, and expanded services to the community.

Thank you to Mayor Mostella, the Ashville City Council, State Representative Jim Hill, and county leaders for their partnership in making this project possible.

This investment strengthens Ashville and contributes to continued growth across St. Clair County.

Tractor Supply Co. has officially arrived in Odenville. 🚜🌾

Today’s ribbon cutting was a great reminder of what growth looks like in St. Clair County: strong partnerships, local investment, and new opportunities for the people who call this place home.

A special thank you to the City of Odenville, Al, the St. Clair County Commission, and the Greater Odenville Chamber of Commerce for helping make today’s celebration possible.

Ribbon cutting… LongHorn Steakhouse style. 🤠✂️

Yesterday we celebrated the grand opening of LongHorn Steakhouse in Pell City with a ribbon (and lasso) cutting alongside The City of Pell City, the St. Clair County Commission, and developer Bill Ellison of I-20 Development.

A little wind, and even a few snow flurries during the ceremony, didn’t slow down the celebration. Before guests headed inside, Bill Pruitt - Mayor of Pell City had the chance to sample LongHorn’s signature 20 oz. Outlaw Ribeye at a special tasting table.

We’re proud to welcome this new investment to Pell City and look forward to seeing LongHorn Steakhouse thrive here.

Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new Olive Garden in Pell City! ✂️🍝

Opening Monday, March 9th, this restaurant is pasta-tively great for St. Clair County.

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the partnership of Bill Ellison of I-20 Development, The City of Pell City, and the St. Clair County Commission.
