Every Tuesday, our residents make their way to Reggie's Diner for one of their favorite weekly traditions—Happy Hour and Trivia!

The nostalgic 1950s atmosphere brings back wonderful memories, while the opportunity to gather with friends makes the afternoon even more special. Residents enjoy great conversation, lots of laughter, and testing their knowledge during trivia. Whether they're answering questions correctly or learning a few fun and completely useless facts along the way, there's never a dull moment!

It's the perfect combination of friendship, fun, and a trip down memory lane. We look forward to this weekly event every Tuesday!

While there is a potential for severe weather in our area today, please know that our team is closely monitoring the forecast and is prepared to respond if conditions change. The safety and well-being of our residents remain our top priority, and our staff is trained in emergency preparedness procedures.

In the meantime, we're continuing with a full day of engaging activities designed to promote movement, socialization, and cognitive wellness for our Memory Care residents:

10:30 AM – Sit & Fit with EmpowerMe
11:00 AM – Brain Busters: Would You Rather?
1:00 PM – White Board Games
2:00 PM – Bingo
3:15 PM – This Day in History Discussion Group

There were plenty of smiles as residents enjoyed an afternoon of bowling! 🎳

This fun activity encouraged movement, hand-eye coordination, and social interaction while giving everyone a chance to cheer each other on. Whether it was a strike, a spare, or simply knocking down a few pins, every roll was celebrated with laughter and encouragement.

We realized we've fallen a little behind on sharing all the fun happening around our community, so here's a collection of some recent moments with our amazing residents!

While the photos may not tell the whole story, just know our residents have been keeping busy with exercise classes, creative crafts, mid day matinees, friendly games, and plenty of time enjoying the beautiful outdoors. From staying active and social to making memories with friends, there's always something happening here.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We are especially grateful to the veterans, families, and residents in our communities who have shared their stories, strength, and service with us. Your courage and dedication continue to inspire generations.

As we gather with family and loved ones, we lift prayers of gratitude for the courage, sacrifice, and devotion of those who protected the freedoms we cherish each day. We also pray for comfort and peace for the families who carry their memory in their hearts.

Today, we remember those we have lost and reflect on the freedoms their sacrifice has protected.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from all of us at the Villas of Holly Brook.

🏇 This weekend is the Preakness Stakes, so our EmpowerMe Wellness therapy department hosted a fun themed game of horse races for the residents!

Resident "jockeys" competed against each other by racing their “horses” tied to a string and rolling them up as fast as they could. There was plenty of friendly competition, cheering, and laughter throughout the activity.

Happy Nurses Week to Dawn, our Memory Care day shift nurse!

Dawn has a lot of experience over her nursing career! She is a one of a kind nurse that goes above and beyond every shift! ❤️ Even when she is off duty, she is calling to ensure she is following with other nurses on resident needs.

She demonstrates our CARE Core Values every single day- Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence! 🙂

Dawn has been with Bellevue Reflections since it opened in 2020! I, as the Wellness Director cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for having Dawn still here and standing by my side caring for our residents! ❤️ Don’t ever change, Dawn! Had to show appreciation to our night shift nurse, Nicole tonight! 🤗

Nicole is one of our float pool nurses that helps fill in on days and nights at Bellevue as well as working her full time job with Transitions Hospice! ❤️

Nicole is a great nurse and we love having her at Bellevue taking care of our residents! She is also an amazing hospice nurse that we have worked very close with many times when residents need hospice services while living with us. It takes a special person to be a hospice nurse and a level of compassion for residents and their families!

Thank you very much for all you do at Bellevue! We appreciate you very much! Happy Nurse’s Week!! 🎉

There’s nothing quite like fresh air and sunshine to brighten the day! ☀️

Our residents love spending time outdoors when the weather is nice—whether it’s enjoying a peaceful moment on the patio, taking a stroll, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds of nature.

Outdoor time is especially meaningful in our memory care community. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and even support better sleep patterns. The familiar feeling of sunshine, a gentle breeze, and natural surroundings can spark positive memories and provide a sense of calm and comfort.

Moments like these may seem simple, but they make a big impact—promoting overall well-being while creating opportunities for connection, conversation, and joy.

We’re wrapping up the month with a little spring gardening fun! 🌱

Our residents have been busy planting seeds in individual pots, getting them started indoors before transferring them to our courtyard gardens in the coming weeks.

It’s been a wonderful way to welcome the new season, spark conversation, and enjoy the simple joy of watching something grow.

We can’t wait to see these little seedlings thrive as they make their way outside—stay tuned as our garden begins to bloom!
