🍓🍈 A fresh and flavorful afternoon in our Teaching Kitchen! 🍈🍓

Residents joined Chef Christina this week as she shared simple and delicious ways to add more fruit to our daily routines. Together, we enjoyed a refreshing Strawberry Melon Agua Fresca perfect for staying cool and hydrated during the summer months and sampled a Mixed Berry Oatmeal Bar packed with wholesome ingredients and natural sweetness.

Learning new ways to make healthy choices is always more fun when it tastes this good! Thank you, Chef Christina, for another wonderful Teaching Kitchen experience.

What a wonderful Father’s Day celebration at Sierra Winds! 💙

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us to celebrate the amazing fathers, grandfathers, and father figures in our community. Your presence made the day even more special.

A big thank you also goes to our incredible staff for helping create such a memorable event. From start to finish, your dedication and teamwork made the celebration one to remember.

☕🌸 The Sierra Winds JULIET Club enjoyed a delightful afternoon at The Spicery for High Tea!

Only the best kind of tea was spilled as everyone gathered for a lovely outing filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of delicious treats. Residents dressed in their finest attire and enjoyed an elegant afternoon of tea, sandwiches, sweets, and wonderful company.

From the charming atmosphere to the tasty snacks shared among friends, it was a memorable day full of fun and connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon so special! 💕☕🍰

This week, Sierra Winds residents enjoyed a delicious breakfast outing to IHOP. From fluffy stacks of pancakes to favorite breakfast classics, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Good food, great conversation, and wonderful company made for a fantastic morning together. You simply can’t pass up IHOP’s famous pancakes!

🎉 Employee of the Month: Logan Hicks 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Logan Hicks, our Sierra Winds Employee of the Month!

Logan is a valued member of the Sierra Winds team who brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a positive attitude to every shift. Born and raised in Peoria, Arizona, Logan is currently a student at Sunrise Mountain High School and is on track to graduate next year.

As a lifelong Arizona resident, Logan takes pride in serving members of his local community. He joined Sierra Winds because of his passion for helping older adults and his desire to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. As a Server in The Palms, Logan enjoys connecting with residents, listening to their stories, and learning from their life experiences.

What Logan loves most about his role is building relationships with residents each day. His friendly personality, genuine kindness, and commitment to service help create a welcoming dining experience and contribute to the warm, family-like atmosphere that makes Sierra Winds such a special place.

When he's not at work, Logan enjoys drawing, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing during his free time. He is passionate about the residents he serves and grateful for the relationships he has built with both residents and fellow team members.

When asked what he would like others to know about Sierra Winds, Logan shared:

"Sierra Winds is a great and fun place to be, and I'm grateful to spend my evenings Monday through Thursday with my Sierra Winds work family."

🌷 Sierra Winds May Recap 🌷

May was a month full of fun, friendship, and celebration at Sierra Winds! From honoring the special women in our lives on Mother’s Day to remembering and celebrating Memorial Day, residents enjoyed a busy social calendar packed with memorable moments.

Throughout the month, we ventured out on exciting outings to Black Bear Diner, Picazzo’s, and Desert Diamond Casino, creating wonderful memories along the way. Back at Sierra Winds, residents enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including our popular rum tasting event and many other social gatherings, games, and experiences that kept everyone active and connected.

A big thank you to all of our residents and team members who helped make May such a vibrant and enjoyable month. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and new friendships continue to grow.

As we turn the page to June, we’re looking forward to even more exciting activities, outings, and opportunities to make memories together!
