🌟 Welcome to the team, Ellie King!

We are thrilled to introduce Ellie King, a second-year DPT student from the University of Maryland Baltimore, joining us for her very first clinical rotation!

Ellie's path to PT started close to home — watching her brother and mom work through multiple injuries and seeing the impact that physical therapy had on their recoveries. By her junior year of high school, she was already working as a PT tech, and four years later she was hooked on helping people heal through movement. Here she is!

She arrives with a strong clinical foundation and is eager to see how all the pieces come together in a real patient care setting — especially bridging evaluation and rehabilitation. We love that mindset.

Outside of PT, Ellie stays active through hiking, skiing, volleyball, the gym, and her newest adventure — biking. (Yes, that's her on an actual mountain. 🏔️) She's also a juggler... just not a very good one. 🤹‍♀️

Ellie, we are so glad to have you as part of the Active Life family — we can't wait to watch you grow! 💙

The Gradins' Success Story
Love. Strength. Movement.
There’s nothing better than getting your life back… except getting it back together ❤️

After dealing with back, hip, and overall physical limitations, Stephen and Roseann were struggling to fully enjoy the activities they love. After trying other options without lasting results, they committed to physical therapy with Mariah and our team at Active Life Physical Therapy in the Perry Hall clinic, and everything started to change.

Through consistent work in the clinic and at home, they rebuilt their strength, improved their health, and got back to living without pain.

Now they’re back on the pickleball court, dancing more often, staying active day-to-day, and simply enjoying life together again.
This is what happens when you address the root of the problem and build strength the right way.

When strength comes back, life comes back. 💪

After struggling with severe knee pain, Eric underwent two knee replacements and committed to rebuilding what matters most: muscle, movement, and confidence.
With our Muscle Forward approach, the team at Active Life Physical Therapy’s Jacksonville clinic helped him get back to walking, biking, gardening, and keeping up with his grandkids again. Now, Eric is pain free and even planning his next adventure to Alaska! 🏔️
This is what restoring strength can do.

During this interactive workshop we’ll cover:

We love celebrating our students — and this one is extra special 💙

Sydney wrapped up her clinical rotation with us on Friday. As she heads into her final year at we couldn’t be more proud of the growth she’s shown.

Here’s what Sydney shared about her time at Active Life:

✨ On her growth:
She learned how to build strong patient rapport and trust while delivering efficient, high-quality care. Throughout the rotation, she became more confident leading treatment sessions, interpreting patient responses, and adapting interventions to meet each patient’s needs. Beyond clinical skills, she discovered more about her independence, her potential, and the kind of PT she is becoming.

✨ On the team experience:
From day one, she felt welcomed into a collaborative and supportive environment. Our team challenged her clinical reasoning, strengthened her skills, and consistently supported her growth — always ready to answer questions and help her become the best PT she can be.

✨ What she’s taking into her first job:
Sydney strengthened her skills in caseload management, independent treatment planning, exercise prescription, manual therapy, and communication. Most importantly, she gained confidence — in her decision-making and in her ability to truly connect with patients.

Sydney, we are so proud of you. Watching you grow into a confident, capable future physical therapist has been such a privilege. Your patients are lucky to have you — and your future clinic will be too.

Good luck in your final year — we can’t wait to see all you accomplish future Dr Sydney Brown! 🎓💙
