If you’ve disagreed with your child’s school evaluation——you have the right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE). An IEE is a private evaluation conducted by a qualified professionals not employed by the school district, often at the district’s expense, and can provide valuable insight into your child’s strengths, challenges, and needed supports.
