The 2026 Thriving Communities Symposium “Building Capacity for Sustainable and Resilient Communities” was a success! Thank you to all the attendees, speakers and sponsors that made it possible and thank you to St. Joseph’s University for hosting. We hope you all enjoyed the weekend of community and got the opportunity to connect with someone and learn something new.

Congratulations to Jeremy Elliott of the Wynnebrook Commercial Corridor Maintenance Team, who was selected from more than 400 citywide Taking Care of Business (TCB) corridor maintenance operators for his outstanding dedication and commitment to his work.

He was formally recognized at the 6th Annual TCB Pep Rally on Friday, October 10, attended by Mayor Cherelle Parker, Managing Director Carlton Williams, Acting Commerce Director Karen Fegely, Sanitation Commissioner Crystal Jacob Shipman, and Deputy Commerce Directors Denis Murphy and Yvonne Boye.
