🛏 Bedroom communication tip you can use tonight:

Replace ‘why don’t we ever…’ with ‘I miss us when…’

One puts your partner on trial. The other invites them home. Same content. Completely different doorway in.

Honest question for partnered folks: when was the last time you and your partner sat across from each other and said something *true*? Not a logistics conversation. Not a venting session.

Something true. ↓ Tell me when in the comments.

True story (shared with permission): A couple came in last month convinced their marriage was over because they hadn’t had s*x in 11 months. By session 4, we discovered neither of them was actually rejecting the other — they were both *protecting* each other from disappointment. Once they could name that, the wall fell. S*x therapy isn’t about s*x. It’s about the truth underneath it.

Want to write your own session 4? Book a free 15-min call.

Most couples don’t need more communication — they need *safer* communication. There’s a difference. Communication without safety just gives the conflict bigger weapons. Safety is what lets the truth come out without anyone bleeding. → If you and your partner can have a hard conversation without one of you shutting down or blowing up, you have safety. → If you can’t, that’s not a vocabulary problem. That’s a nervous-system problem. And it’s 100% workable in therapy.

Send us a DM for a free 15-min consult.

Shout out to my father who has shown me real care and connection! Happy 1st Father’s Day to my partner who continues to hold us down, love and care deeply for us! ❤️ ❤️

All day we spend time supporting our clients, but we don’t always take enough time to connect with our coworkers and team outside of work. Last night, I took my team to Fabrika and we had such an amazing night filled with great conversation, delicious food, and a phenomenal show. Grateful for a team that works hard and knows how to enjoy time together too. ✨

Women and men are often taught to experience desire differently — but the truth is, neither is “more s*xual.”
We’re just socialized differently around intimacy, stress, safety, connection, and emotional expression.

Many women need emotional closeness, reduced mental load, and feeling desired outside the bedroom to access desire.
Many men are taught to use s*x as connection, reassurance, stress relief, or emotional intimacy.

Neither is wrong.
But when couples don’t understand these differences, it can create hurt, rejection, pressure, or resentment.

Healthy intimacy starts with curiosity instead of criticism.
Not: “What’s wrong with you?”
But: “What helps you feel connected, wanted, and open?”

Desire isn’t one-size-fits-all.
And intimacy grows when both partners feel emotionally safe, understood, and chosen. If you find yourself or relationship struggling don’t hesitate to reach out! We can close the gap! *xTherapy

Happy Pride Month 🌈

Love deserves to be seen, celebrated, protected, and affirmed-in every identity, every relationship, and every expression of self.

At Raport Counseling Center, we believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to show up fully as they are. We’re proud to support LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and relationships with care that is inclusive, affirming, and rooted in authenticity.

This month and every month, we celebrate the courage it takes to live openly, love deeply, and exist unapologetically. 🏳️‍🌈💜

Desire isn’t just about s*x.
It’s about emotional connection, feeling wanted, being pursued, feeling safe enough to be fully yourself.

Long-term relationships don’t fail because attraction magically vanishes — they struggle when stress, resentment, exhaustion, parenting, routine, and disconnection start taking up all the space.

The good news? Desire can be rebuilt.
Not through pressure or performance… but through curiosity, communication, emotional intimacy, and intentional connection.

Your relationship deserves more than surviving.
It deserves closeness, passion, and partnership. 🤍
