Shopping can be a lot for some children but a little preparation can make a big difference.
Bright lights, loud sounds, crowds, long waits, and too many choices can quickly become overwhelming. Try shopping during quieter hours, keep trips short when possible, bring familiar comfort items, and give your child breaks when they need them.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Meet your child where they are, follow their cues, and take it one step at a time.
Save this for your next shopping trip and share it with a parent who might find it helpful.
