We had a wonderful time at the 42nd Annual Native American Connections Parade, where culture, community, and Indigenous pride took center stage in the heart of Phoenix.

Our Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫǫ́jí Center (YHC) team was honored to join the celebration on Saturday, connecting with our Indigenous relatives, Tribal organizations, and community members.

A special highlight was our float, designed by YHC relatives currently in treatment. They also chose the float's name: “Healing the Diné Way. Sobriety Starts at the Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫǫ́jí Center.”

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, creativity, and support to make this event so meaningful. We are grateful for the memories made and the opportunity to celebrate together.

On this Indigenous Peoples' Day, Axiom Care and the Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫǫ́jí Center (YHC), honors the history, culture, and contributions of Native communities, past and present. It is a day of reflection, learning, and recognition of the ongoing presence and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

As we observe this day, we recognize that Phoenix is built on the ancestral lands of the Akimel O'odham (Pima) and Xalychidom Piipaash (Maricopa) peoples, who have longstanding cultural and spiritual ties to the land and historic settlements throughout the area.

We further affirm our respect for the sovereignty of Arizona's twenty-two Tribes and acknowledge the many Indigenous relatives from across Turtle Island who now call Phoenix home. Axiom Care and YHC remain committed to walking alongside all Tribal Nations in partnership, respect, and service.

We want to say ahéhee' (thank you) to our relatives in To’Nanees’Dizi (Twisted Waters) for hosting us at the 58th Annual Western Navajo Fair. Our Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫǫ́jí Center (YHC) Outreach team, Larita Anderson and Levi Long, attended Elders and Kids Day in Tuba City, making meaningful connections with community members, Tribal partners and resource organizations. We were able to talk about our YHC program and the impact the center has had in bringing hope, healing, and recovery to the Navajo Nation.

Opened in September 2025, the YHC Program has served over 400 Navajo Tribal members through an immersive, culturally grounded healing experience designed to serve Diné relatives and family members navigating substance use and behavioral health challenges.

Our Veteran Outreach and Partnerships Manager, George Campbell, recently attended the George Willie Memorial Veterans StandDown at the Twin Arrows Casino Resort. We connected with community members, veterans, and local organizations working to provide support and resources to those who have served.

We’re grateful for opportunities to come together, strengthen community connections, and support the well-being of our veterans.

The Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫ́ǫ́jí Center (YHC) Outreach Team would like to extend our gratitude to Tuba City Regional Health Care for inviting us to the grand opening of the new Echo Cliffs Health Center.

This special event brought together Tribal leaders, healthcare providers, community organizations, and Navajo Nation community members to celebrate the opening of the impressive 123,000-square-foot outpatient facility. Located in the Bodaway-Gap Chapter, the new health center will serve as a regional healthcare hub for communities throughout Western Navajo, as well as families from the Hopi Tribe and Southern Paiute Tribes.

The YHC team was honored to connect with community members and partner organizations, sharing information about our residential substance use treatment services and our commitment to providing culturally grounded, Diné-centered care.

Strong partnerships are the foundation of stronger communities. We extend our sincere thanks to the Mesa Police Department's Crisis Response Team for visiting Ocotillo Campus of Care in Apache Junction.

During their tour with Michael Silverton, Axiom Care Outreach & Partnerships Manager, the team learned more about our residential substance use treatment center, observation center, and detox services. They also received an overview of the Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫ́ǫ́jí Center (YHC), the Navajo Nation-owned residential substance use treatment facility serving Diné relatives in Midtown Phoenix.

Collaborations like these help expand access to care and strengthen recovery pathways for those who need them most. Together, we're building healthier communities and creating more opportunities for healing.

Our hearts are full of gratitude and wonderful memories, rooted in the spirit of K’é (kinship) and community.

Last week, the Yideeską́ądi Hózhǫǫ́jí Center (YHC) Outreach Team had the honor of participating in the 78th Annual Navajo Nation Fair in Window Rock, Arizona.

YHC is a Navajo Nation-owned residential substance use treatment facility in Phoenix dedicated to serving Navajo Nation members and their immediate families. The program is operated by Axiom Care in partnership with the Navajo Department of Health and Navajo Division of Behavioral & Mental Health Services.

We enjoyed three memorable days participating in Ashkii Happy Kids Day, Navajo Elders Day, and the DBMHS Health Fair and Gourd Dance. During these events, we shared information about YHC, provided recovery and mental health support resources, distributed YHC giveaways, and offered healthy snacks to community members.

YHC was also proud to sponsor the KTNN Radio broadcast of the Miss Navajo Nation Traditional Foods and Sheep Butchering Contest, helping expand awareness of our program and services throughout the Navajo Nation.

A heartfelt Ahéheeʼ to the Navajo Nation Fair Office, KTNN Radio, NDOH, and DBMHS for their hospitality and partnership. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our Diné relatives and share information about the healing and support available through YHC. 💙 Ahéheeʼ for helping us strengthen K’é, community wellness, and recovery.
